The events
With the first tournament in Egypt coming up in a couple of days I took the option of playing in two local one-day pro events before heading to the Red Sea. The idea was to make sure I would be match-fit on the Pro Golf Tour at the start of the season. The events were played on consecutive days at Pinsolle and Moliets and the field was composed of a mix of playing pros and teaching pros. Both courses were in great condition and tested different skills in my game.
Pinsolle Day 1
Moliets Day 2
Thoughts
Overall I was very happy with my game on these two days. I finished 3rd in Pinsolle (the winner shot 64) and 1st in Moliets. I felt confident on the course which is great. I was putting well and I hit over 80% of greens in regulation. This allowed me to have a lot of birdie chances. I also was able to accept mistakes I made while playing and enjoy the round rather than being obsessed with my score. From a mental standpoint that was very good! I am excited to go to Egypt and see what 2024 has in store for me. The next tournament is the Red Sea Ain Sokhna Open.
