I'll be playing in roughly 20 events across Europe and Northern Africa this year. On the Pro Golf Tour, the season comprises a total of 17 ranking tournaments, which are held from February to October on some good golf courses across Germany, Turkey, Egypt, Austria, Poland, Switzerland, the Netherlands, and Belgium. Amongst the Pro Golf Tour events, I'll also be playing some French Tour events closer to home. To finish the year off the plan is to compete at the DP World Tour Q-school and get my card.
Off-season
Short Game
I've been practicing hard this winter on two aspects of my game. The first one is my short game. For the last few years, it has not been that good. My confidence has been low and my results poor. This was largely due to my inability to make consistent contact with the ball. There were situations where I felt like I just could not commit to the shot. I tried working on my technique and finally found the solution. Inspired by Matthew Fitzpatrick and the recent success of French golfer Matthieu Pavon, I tried chipping cross-handed. The results were amazing. I started making consistent contact and was able to hit all the shots necessary to be competitive this year. It might be the biggest breakthrough I have had in the last 5 years regarding my golf game.
Driving
I've always been a straight driver of the ball. Last year however I felt like I was slightly more wayward off the tee. So I decided to take action. I had been over-swinging and this was causing me to hit the ball at the heel. François and I decided to work on shortening my backswing to improve my strike. For me, it's really important to hit fairways. I'm not the longest so accuracy is key. From the fairway, my iron game is very good. It's easier to control my distances and create birdie chances. To integrate the new move better I did a lot of imagery work with Olivier. It took a bit of time but I am very happy with the way my swing feels now and should be hitting a lot more fairways in 2025!
Sponsors
Just a few words to thank my sponsors for this year. Albret Golf Experience and I decided to continue our partnership for 2025. This is something I am very happy about because it continues to solidify my place in the club where I learned the game. I will also continue to have support from BDM Walter France. Additionally, I have recently signed with two new sponsors: Kosipo and Idé Systèmes. They will be joining me on my journey for 2025. I am excited about this year. It is going to be fun.
